Ron and BP were talking about the Pyramids and wondering how they were made. Ron had read Herodotus and so had BP. Herodotus tells about the machine used to construct the pyramids. There were holes in one of the pyramids for the machine to stand.
The project began here: Ron decided to build one and this picture is of one of the first attempts to build a machine that could have been used to construct the pyramids.
Ron used rope and wooden pegs to put the machine together.
This basic construction from White Pine and Rope is light weight and yet it can lift an automobile with ease.
